The Great Outdoors

To the left outside our front door.  To the left of this rock formation is the 'crouching lion' -- i'll get pics of it soon.
To the right outside our front door.  This is where we saw the humpbacks.  And Journee said she likes hearing the sound of the ocean in the morning.  I must admit it's beautiful to see and hear.

As you know, Journee and I recently moved to Kaaawa (w sounds like v and a's are said twice - elongated on the second one).  I will be posting inside photos later on this week but the outside view is wonderful.  We sit right under the 'crouching lion' (to the left) and directly across and above the ocean (to the right).

So these pictures are what we see when we walk out our front door and look to the left and right.  

We saw whales (humpback) from our parking lot this past weekend.  We just saw them rolling and playing. A friend saw them breaching (jumping out of the water) on Sunday.  Hopefully we'll be able to get some pictures of them soon.  They'll travel back to Alaska in May.
